Chef Kapila Jayanetthi ![]() Chef Kapila Jayanetti has been in the Hospitality industry for over two decades in Sri Lanka , Middle East & Europe. He holds leading positions in Star Class Resorts in Sri Lanka . A Graduate of Ceylon Hotel school, with a “First Class” for Specialization field of Professional Cookery, he became Colombo Hilton Nominee for Young Hotelier of the World in 1992 and Won Gold Medals for his culinary expertise locally & internationally. Being a Certified Trainer for SATS (South Asian Tourism Secretariat) he has carried out various training Programmes for the industry. In 1997/98 he was appointed as Course Co-coordinator for Faculty of Hospitality Management at the Dambulla Technical College . Chef Kapila who began his career, right from the bottom as a Trainee Steward at Mt.Lavinia Hotel, reached the Zenith of his Hotel career at ther age of 35 as General Manager and was responsible for creating a new venture of Sri Lankan Tourism Trade in Up market Eco Concept of Sri Lankan Hospitality Trade at Virgin Rain Forest of Sri Lanka. |
